I promised my daughter

Twelve people have walked on the moon. The moon is 402,000 kilometers from earth. The last [последний] person to walk on the moon was Astronaut Gene Cernan. He walked on the moon in 1972.

Astronaut Cernan lived on the moon 3 days. He walked on the moon collecting [собирающий] rocks and dust [пыль]. He walked on the moon about 22 hours and walked about 36 kilometers. He collected almost 115 kilograms of rocks [камень] and dust! At night, he lived in a “moon home” called the Lunar Lander. You can see the Lunar Lander in the photo at the left. The moon car they rode in was called the Lunar Rover.

There is one thing Astronaut Cernan remembers [вспоминать] the most. It is how beautiful earth looked from the moon. But the thing his daughter remembers most is that her father kept [keep: держать] his promise [обещание]. She asked her father to write her initials [инициалы] on the moon. He wrote TDC on the moon: Teresa Dawn Cernan. Dawn, in English, means when the sun comes up. [рассвет]

After Astronaut Cernan wrote his daughter's initials on the moon it was time for him to go home. He said it was really hard. He did not want to go home so soon. He wanted to stay a little longer.

Teresa was 9 years old when her father wrote her initials on the moon. They will be there millions of years! Someday, will someone else go to the moon and find [найти] them?  What do you think?
Now, here is a question for you!

If you went to the moon, would you leave [оставлять] a message behind for someone else to find?! What would you write?!
